In its drive to ensure insurance market Development through enhanced access points for insurance services in Nigeria, NAICOM recently exposed four new Guidelines to the insurance market for inputs and/or Comments.

The 2017 seminar for insurance journalists organised annually by NAICOM to apprise them of developments in the insurance industry was held in Kaduna on October 6 - 7, 2017.

The Commissioner for Insurance, Alhaji Mohammed Kari, has said that the commission will meet with state governors under the banner of the Nigeria’s Governors’ Forum on the implementation of compulsory insurance policy in the country.

This is to inform members of the public that the information going round in the internet about a purported recruitment exercise by NAICOM is FALSE. The information did not emanate from NAICOM. Please note that the National Insurance Commission is not recruiting and has no such plans at the moment. The information is FRAUD. Members of the public are advised to ignore the information. When NAICOM is set to recruit, it shall inform members of the public accordingly through advertisement on its official website and National Newspapers.

The National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) has reiterated its plan to further grow the Nigerian insurance industry by 2020. The Deputy Commissioner, Technical, NAICOM, Mr. Sunday Thomas said that the Commission was working to ensure the success of its major priorities for 2017 to 2020.
