The Commissioner for Insurance and Chief Executive Officer of the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), Mr. Olusegun Ayo Omosehin, has been inducted as a Fellow of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB) alongside Senator Adetokunbo Abiru, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and Other Financial Institutions.

The conferment took place during a gala dinner hosted by the NCRIB in Abuja on Wednesday, bringing together prominent stakeholders from Nigeria’s insurance, banking, and wider financial services sectors.

The fellowship, one of the highest honours bestowed by the Council, recognises individuals who have made significant contributions to the growth, development, and advancement of the insurance industry and the financial services sector in Nigeria.

Speaking at the event, NCRIB President commended the inductees for their outstanding leadership, professionalism, and commitment to strengthening the nation’s financial ecosystem.

The ceremony provided a platform for industry leaders, regulators, policymakers, and practitioners to engage on key issues affecting the insurance sector and to reinforce collaboration towards enhancing insurance penetration and financial inclusion across the country.

Mr. Omosehin’s induction further underscores his contributions to the transformation and regulation of Nigeria’s insurance industry, while Senator Abiru was recognised for his support in advancing legislative initiatives that promote the growth and stability of the financial services sector.
