NAICOM is the regulatory body responsible for overseeing the insurance industry in Nigeria. It ensures that insurance companies operate fairly, transparently, and in compliance with the law, while protecting the interests of policyholders.

You can confirm the licensing status of any insurance provider by visiting the official NAICOM website or through the NAICOM Digital Portal, where up-to-date lists of accredited insurers and intermediaries are available.

Takaful is an Islamic insurance model based on mutual cooperation and shared responsibility. NAICOM regulates Takaful operators in Nigeria to ensure compliance with Shariah principles and the country’s insurance laws.

If you encounter issues with your insurer, you can submit a complaint directly to NAICOM via the Contact section of the website, or by emailing contact@naicom.gov.ng. The Commission will investigate and take appropriate regulatory action.
